How to view your email headers

Follow the steps for the appropriate email software:

Microsoft Outlook Express6

  1. Right click the email you want to check from the Inbox.
  2. Select "Properties" from the pop up menu.

  3. .Select the "Details" tab. Right click on "Internet header for this message" text box, and choose "Select All" from the menu.
  4. Right click on "Internet header for this message" text box again,and choose "Copy" from the menu.And click on "OK" button.
  5. Go to aguse's "Mail Buster" page, and Right click in the text box where it says "Paste Email Headers in the box below:", choose "Paste" from the menu.
  6. Click the "Investigate" button.
  7. Shown the result page of Mail Buster.
    Note: This will work only if "Internet header" is complete.
    If you paste only E-mail address or not "Internet header" ,it will not work.

Microsoft Outlook2003

  1. Right click the email you want to check from the Inbox.
  2. Select "Options" from the bottom of the pop up menu.
  3. Right click on "Internet header" text box (in the red text box) from the "Message Options" window. and choose "Select All" from the menu.
  4. Right click on "Internet header" text box (in the red text box) again, and choose "Copy" from the menu. And click on "OK" button.
  5. Go to aguse's "Mail Buster" page, and Right click in the text box where it says "Paste Email Headers in the box below:", choose "Paste" from the menu.
  6. Click the "Investigate" button.
  7. Shown the result page of Mail Buster.
    Note: This will work only if "Internet header" is complete.
    If you paste only E-mail address or not "Internet header" ,it will not work.

Mozilla Thunderbird 1.5

  1. Right click the email you want to check from the Inbox.
  2. Select "View" menu. And choose "Message Source" from the menu.
  3. Right click on the "view-source" window, and choose "Select All" from the menu.
  4. Right click on the "view-source" window again, and choose "Copy" from the menu. Then click on "X"(close) button.
  5. Go to aguse's "Mail Buster" page, and Right click in the text box where it says "Paste Email Headers in the box below:", choose "Paste" from the menu.
  6. Click the "Investigate" button.
  7. Shown the result page of Mail Buster.
    Note: This will work only if "Internet header" is complete.
    If you paste only E-mail address or not "Internet header" ,it will not work.
